Day 3- Goodbye and Hello

Hello, again!

This morning was a little rough. I had to say my last in-person goodbye to someone from home. I'm excited to be here, but somewhat sad, because I won't be able to share the experience with anyone from home. That's why I'm excited for the ladies and Nick to get in later this weekend. :)

I am currently located at the McDonald's in Kayenta, AZ, which will be my hometown for a few months. It seems pretty busy compared to the other cities/towns I passed through on the way here. That make me happy. :) I will be heading to the school after I finish my lunch and figure out exactly where I need to go. I'm super excited! The drive here was gorgeous, with rocks, cliffs, and all kinds of other things to look at. One of the things that was neat about driving through the Navajo Nation is that you always know which direction you're headed. All of the front doors on the homes face east, so if you can see at least two homes' doors, you're pretty much guaranteed to know which direction you're headed.

I tried to take some pictures, but they really don't do any of the sights any justice. Also, I was driving, so I have no idea what they look like yet... I was focusing on the road and hopefully aiming and shooting toward whatever I thought was cool with my phone. I'll go through them later, and if I have 3G (probably not), I will be able to upload them. Otherwise, it'll be a long wait for some pictures!!

Hope you all are having a great day!!
