Day 10- It's Friday!!!

It's Friday!!! No early release this Friday, but it is the end of week one for us, which makes me really happy! It was a great week, but it was so long. I'm looking forward to being out and about instead of being in the classroom all day. I love my kids and my teacher, but it's time for a break. :)

After school today, all the kids checked out of the dorm and went home. I took a nice little nap this evening, and when I woke up, I felt so energized. Nick decided he was going to take a hike up the rocks, since it's not really owned by anyone, and I decided to tag along and see how far we would go. The rocks in our backyard (of the school) are called the Toes. We ended up just in front of the Big Toe, but the rest of the climb looked pretty treacherous, and I was a first time rock climber tonight.
The Toes

We saw some bones...

At the end of the first big hike... We went a lot further, though.

Nick looking at the sleepy little town we now call home.

Sweet pool up on the rocks. It was basically back to monsoon season yesterday, so the holes in the rocks were filled with water. I think it should be the new Kayenta Family Aquatic Center: only open after it rains. :)

Loving the view

The little Toes, up closer.

One of my favorite views.
The big Toe is right behind me... but the lighter part looked REALLY steep. This was my "I did it!" picture.
The last photo was probably taken in the general vicinity of the red circle, but it's hard telling. It was still an awesome hike.
Well, I think the photos with captions probably say a lot about my night. It was fantastic. There are also additional photos on my Facebook page. Hope you all had a wonderful day!!
